The Annual Kwahu Easter Festival and all activities associated with it have been officially cancelled by the Kwahu Traditional Council.
This comes in line with the President’s directive on the current COVID-19 outbreak.
President Akufo-Addo on Sunday, March 15, 2020 announced measures taken to combat the spread of the Coronavirus – (COVID-19) which includes suspension of all public gatherings, including conferences, workshops, funerals, festivals, political rallies, sporting events and religious activities, such as services in churches and mosques, have been suspended for the next four (4) weeks.
The Kwahu Traditional Council released a Press Statement today March 16 urging the public to strictly adhere to the rules.
