CAF president released without charges

The President of the Confederation of African Football (Caf) Ahmad has been released without charges.

According to reports, Ahmad “was questioned as part of a probe into corruption, breach of trust and forgery”.

On Thursday it was confirmed Ahmad was arrested and being questioned by authorities in France.

A statement from football’s world governing body stated that the case was “in relation to allegations related to his mandate as the President of Caf”.
