The American DJ, rapper, producer, DJ Khaled announced on Wednesday that he is donating 100% proceeds from the forthcoming collaboration “Higher” to Nipsey Hussle’s children.
DJ Khaled is releasing his highly anticipated 11th studio album “Father of Asahd”. Before Nipsey’s untimely death, Khaled and Nipsey were in the studio to record their collaborative track “Higher” before the unexpected incident happened.
Khaled took to social media on Wednesday to share his thoughts about the track and revealed that 100% of the proceeds from the song would go to Nipsey’s two children, Kross Asghedom and Emani Asghedom.

“After much prayer and reflection, and with the full blessing of the Asghedom family, I am sharing that moment with the world,” Khaled said in a statement Tuesday, regarding the song’s imminent release.
“The very title of the song reminds us that vibrating on a ‘Higher’ level was the essence of Nipsey’s soul,” he continued, before adding, “It is in this spirit, of moving forward, of preserving his mission that I, my co-writers, producers and label partners are donating 100% of all our proceeds from ‘Higher’ to Nispey’s children, Emani and Kross.”
