Reigning World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champion, Kofi Kingston met with Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo to present his WWE belt.
The professional wrestler born Kofi Sarkodie-Mensah, arrived in Ghana’s capital Accra on Thursday to a warm welcome from fans and members of the government’s 2019 Year of Return Steering Committee.
Kofi is the first Ghanaian and African to become WWE Champion.
He paid a courtesy call on the President of Ghana H.E Nana Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House to present his world title belt to the presidency.
The 37-year-old professional wrestler will also be at the Manhyia Palace to pay homage to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Other activities include a Children’s Rally, visits to Tourist Sites and places like the Lake Bosomtwe, the Christianborg (Osu) Castle, Bonwire and Ntonso, a visit to the Mother and Baby Unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, and visits to Ejisu and Atwima Techiman which are his paternal and maternal hometowns.
