Kurt Okraku wins Ghana FA presidential election

Kurt Okraku is the new President of the Ghana Football Association after a competitive presidential election.

CEO of Dreams Football Club, Mr Okraku won secured votes in the third round of the elections which was held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra.

In the second round of the elections, Kurt Okraku pulled a total of 59 votes, George Afriyie’s 43 votes, and Nana Yaw Amponsah finished with the least votes here as he earned 16.

GFAdecides2019: Results for second roundMr. George Afriyie, however, announced his decision to pull out of the race and congratulated Mr. Kurt Okraku.

However, the third round of voting was held with Mr Kurt Okraku as the sole candidate which saw him secure 93 votes to emerge as the winner of the elections.

Kurt Okraku has succeeded Kwesi Nyantakyi who resigned last year in the aftermath of the Number 12 documentary by Anas.
